Privacy policy

Privacy

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (for example name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We point out that data transmission over the Internet (eg communication by e-mail) security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

II. Processing of personal data

When visiting our website, personal data may be processed. Personal data is any information that directly identifies you as a data subject or by which you can be indirectly identified.

Personal data basically includes information such as your name and address. In addition, individual data and identifiers (e.g. the IP address or cookies) are suitable for establishing a personal reference and assigning the information to you.

The data you provide us with, as well as data that we process automatically when you visit the website, are generally personal data. The following provisions apply to them.

Processing activities that are carried out independently by other data controllers are not covered by this declaration and our responsibility as data controllers within the meaning of data protection law. If there are links to other websites (such as Youtube), the operators of these websites are usually independently responsible for the processing of your personal data.

III. Processing activities on our website

Personal data is processed on our website in several ways:

1. Cookies

Internet pages regularly use so-called cookies. We also use cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. They are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

We inform you about the use of cookies at the beginning of your visit to our website by using a cookie banner that is displayed at the bottom of the browser. You can access the cookie settings again at any time by clicking the gear in the bottom left corner or by clicking here Show cookies settings .

There are different forms of cookies. On the one hand, "session cookies" are used. They are set on your terminal device at the beginning of your visit to the website and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies ("persistent cookies") remain stored on your end device until you delete them.

Most of the cookies we use are "session cookies". They are therefore automatically deleted after your visit to our website. Some cookies are persistent cookies. They allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. However, if you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

a. Technically necessary cookies

We use cookies that are technically necessary to ensure the functionality and security of the website. These cookies used by us serve exclusively to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and technically safer. Their processing serves to protect our legitimate interests and cannot be objected to. These cookies are not used for advertising or other purposes.

b. Own cookies

On our website we offer our visitors a download area, the use of which relies on cookies. In order to use the download area, you must consent to the setting of the corresponding cookies. The processing is therefore based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO.

The use of cookies is necessary for loading the download area. You can give your consent to the setting of cookies on your terminal in the cookie banner or the button "Allow cookies for the download area" in the download area. The cookie is used solely for loading the download area in your browser. You can revoke your consent to processing at any time by opening the cookie settings. By revoking, it is no longer possible to call up the download area.

Another cookie is set for the activation of the respective downloads. The cookie is used to verify the download link that is sent to you by e-mail as part of each download. We also require your consent for this processing. You can revoke your consent to the processing at any time by opening the cookie settings. By revoking, a download of files is no longer possible.

The use of cookies is only for the purposes stated. A transmission to third parties and in particular to third countries does not take place.

c. Third party cookies (Google Maps)

We use third-party cookies that are not technically necessary and therefore require your express consent.
We integrate the map service Google Maps on our site to provide you with an easy location of our company and a comfortable route planning.
Google Maps is offered and operated by Google Inc. based in the United States (USA). When activating and using the map service, cookies are set and personal data is partly transmitted to Google servers in the USA and processed there, primarily for advertising and market research purposes. Google consequently also forms usage profiles, regardless of whether they are logged in to Google or not. Further information on processing by Google Inc. and in particular the purposes of processing and your data subject rights can be found at (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=de).

The activation and use of Google Maps and the subsequent storage of cookies or processing of personal data is based solely on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. For the transfer of data to companies in the USA, there is currently no adequacy decision of the European Commission. However, Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework (https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework). Through the certification, the company has committed itself to higher data protection standards than are customary in the United States and which are intended to approximate those of the European Union. The transfer of your personal data to the USA takes place solely on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 49 (1) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

You can give your consent in the cookie banner when you visit our website for the first time. You can also activate the cookie later via the cookie settings (hyperlink) or via the "Allow map cookies" button displayed on the "Directions" subpage. If you refuse consent, you will not be able to use Google Maps on our website. You can revoke the consent you have given at any time by opening the cookie settings. The processing carried out until then remains unaffected.

2. Download area

We offer our visitors a download area where documentation and manuals can be downloaded.
In order to use the download function, you must first verify your identity through our double opt-in process. Here you have to enter your contact details in the fields provided. By entering and submitting your contact information, you are requesting activation of your access to the download area. You will receive an e-mail which must be confirmed via the link contained therein. The confirmation will activate your access to the download area.
We process your personal data in this context for several purposes:

  • Verification and setting up access: through the verification procedure described, we check whether you are a human person. In this way, we prevent access by bots, for example.
Control of misuse of the download area: A download counter, which counts the number of downloads made by the verified user, serves this control. In particular, it is necessary to trace users by storing their contact data in order to be able to verify unauthorized commercial or abusive downloads.
Statistical purposes: With the download counter we evaluate how often you have downloaded a document and how often a document has been downloaded in total by all users. We use the data to further optimize our offer.
Advertising: We use your e-mail address in the given case to get in personal business contact with you. The data will not be used at any time for automatically sent e-mails or newsletters.

By sending us your contact details, you agree that we may process your data for the purposes stated. The data will not be processed for other purposes. Data will only be transferred to third parties (external service providers) if this is necessary in order to detect and trace any misuse.

The processing of your personal data is thus based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to info@michaelis-maschinenbau.de. By doing so, you will lose your access to the download area. Your contact data will then be deleted as a matter of principle, at the latest after expiry of the limitation periods for asserting any claims due to misuse of the download area.

3. Google Fonts

This website uses external fonts (Google Fonts) in a local version. In the course of this, no transmission of your personal data to third parties takes place. The local integration takes place on our servers, so that we deliver the fonts to your browser as soon as you visit our website.

By using the fonts, we ensure a uniform design of our website across all devices. This is also our legitimate interest, which justifies the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO.

4. Server-Log-Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

browser type and version
Operating system used
referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address of the visitor

This data may be assignable to specific persons, so that it is personal data. Their processing is justified on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO to protect our legitimate interests. The storage takes place for the detection of illegal use of the website as well as for the identification of users or attackers and the future defense against cyber attacks. The processing thus also serves to ensure the provision, stability and security of the website.

This data is not merged with other data sources. The stored log files are deleted after a retention period of 3 days.

5. Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your data from the inquiry form including the contact data you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing is usually carried out for the implementation of pre-contractual measures within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO. If inquiries are made apart from the initiation of contracts, your personal data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO in order to be able to answer your inquiry pertinently and to your satisfaction.

IV. Transfers to third parties

As a matter of principle, your data will not be transmitted to third parties. Exceptions exist if we are legally obligated to transmit your data.

V. Transfers to third countries

There is no transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Union, except to the extent of the processing activities described above.

VI. Your rights

You have the following rights with regard to the processing of personal data concerning you:

Right to information: you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you.

Right of correction and deletion: You have the right to demand the correction of incorrect data and - insofar as the legal requirements are met - the deletion of data.

Restriction of processing: you have the right to restrict the processing of personal data, provided that the legal requirements are met.

Data portability: you have the right to receive personal data provided by you on the basis of consent or contractual relationship in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to have it transferred to another controller.

Objection to data processing: You have the right to object to data processing by us at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation, insofar as this is based on our legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO). If the right to object is exercised, the data will not be further processed unless the controller can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for further processing which override your rights and freedoms in accordance with the law. In the event of an objection, we cannot continue to offer you services or offers associated with the processing.

Withdrawal of consent: You have the right to withdraw consent given to the controller for the processing of personal data at any time with effect for the future, unless there is also a legal permission for the processing. The lawfulness of the processing of the data until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of personal data concerning you violates data protection regulations. The complaint can be filed with any data protection authority, in particular with the data protection authority responsible for your place of residence or with the data protection authority responsible for the controller.

You can assert your rights against the data controller. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given at the beginning or by e-mail to info@michaelis-maschinenbau.de.
